Badger Prairie Children’s gardeners finished two tepees and a learning circle Friday night. Thanks Michelle, Jane, Jim, Amy, Carrie and Theresa.

The Children’s Garden committee has met at the garden two times now and the tepees and learning circle tree stumps are in along with a heavy hay mulch.

They decided to meet again a week from this Friday, May 20th at 6:00 to accept donated transplants and then plant them.

They are looking for:  vegi transplants for the snack garden; herb transplants for the sensory garden, flowers or plants for the pollinator garden.  We have room in the corners by the teepees for more plants too.

There is a notebook and a white binder in the orange and black box.  The notebook lists jobs that need to be done.  Check there if you are looking for work to do.  As of today there are seeds/starts in the box for yellow, white and red onion.  Marigolds and Red Runner beans and instructions on where to put them.  (thanks Joy Follendorg) There is a bit of weeding to do.

The white binder has some project ideas if you are looking for something more substantial to lead.

Keep track of your volunteer hours by filling out a form and placing it in the mailbox.
